Japanese powdered green tea, which stands at the core of a Japanese way of life, was selected as the focal ingredient specifically for the celebration of Spring – the time of nature’s awakening. Little wonder that creative desserts by Executive Pastry Chef of The Mira Hong Kong, Jean-Marc Gaucher, were designed as a perfect afternoon “pick-me-up”!
Among creative sweets look for new interpretations of enjoying matcha green tea: with a coffee espresso on a chocolate tart, with Oreo cookie base cheesecake, and even in a healthy chia seed pudding!
Each tea set also features fluffy, homemade Matcha, Cranberry and White Chocolate scones to be enjoyed with clotted cream and a seasonal special pastry of sweet Easter Cross Buns, traditionally enjoyed only on Good Friday.
