A sensational ingredient on its own, highly revered black truffle is now in season and it brings a whole new dimension to any dish. Be it a humble plate of scrambled eggs, luxuriant meat cuts and refined seafood cooked with utmost precision.
Chef Oliver Li at WHISK designed a 5-course menu festooned with subtle winter flavors that can be enjoyed on its own, or enhanced with a generous portion of freshly shaved black truffle. What’s more, it is paired with handsome wine picks by WHISK’s sommeliers including Chardonnay from Sonoma, Spanish Rioja, and even a 12 years old Speyside single malt whisky, which make it a feast for connoisseurs of finer things in life.
The menu features favorite seafood and meats such as delicate Fraser Island Spanner Crab with Artichoke, Samphire and Seaweed Cracker. A choice of flavorful yet lean free-range Amakusa Daio chicken from Kumamoto with Spelt Risotto and Mushroom or beautifully marbled A4 Wagyu Beef from Kagoshima with Winter Vegetables and Dashi Broth that is packed with umami will surely satisfy any meat lover. The menu ends on the sweet, sour, savory, salty and bitter notes in a dessert tingling all “Five Sensations”.
